7/6/2017

  • New game+ added for players who want to play through the game with their existing gear.
  • Ultra Hard mode is added for the players that are up for another challenge!
  • Added two new trophies to the game: One for completing New game+ and one for completing New game+ in ultra-hard mode.
  • Added support for all EU and US text Languages on EU and US games.

GENERAL FIXES

  • Fixed an issue for some players in “The Looming Shadow” where two guards would disappear after Blameless Marad speaks to them.
  • Fixed an issue for certain players with the Lodge Ropecaster where the Ropecaster’s anchors that are automatically shot in the ground would not lock into the terrain while shooting from a crouched position.
  • Fixed an issue for some players where bandit camps would incorrectly display as ‘Undiscovered’ within the world map if the player had cleared all bandit camps.
  • Fixed an issue with “Cauldron Zeta” where for some players the quest log would disappear after completing the quest.
  • Fixed an issue that some players encountered with the animations of Aloy. When the player would perform a melee attack and use the Focus almost simultaneously, it would cause Aloy’s upper body to twist unnatural for a moment.
  • Fixed an issue with the humanoid scream and attack indicators.
  • Fixed an issue in “Deep Secrets of the Earth” where for some players the data points in Sobeck’s office were not obtainable if the player wanted to pick them after the explosion caused by Helis, as they had disappeared.
  • Fixed an issue with the Tearblaster statistics being incorrectly displayed in the weapon wheel.

PROGRESSION ISSUE FIXES

  • Fixed an issue in “Field of the Fallen” where for some players Erend would not appear when the quest objective is ‘Talk to Erend’ and thus blocking progression of this quest.
  • Fixed an issue in “The City of the Sun” where some players might teleport through the protester scene, blocking progression as Erend would not open the door to Olin’s apartment.

CRASH FIXES

  • Fixed miscellaneous crashes.

MISCELLANEOUS FIXES

  • Minor text fixes.

Version 1.22

Patch 1.22 for Horizon Zero Dawn is out today and will fix a crash that was introduced with Patch 1.21.

We’re pleased to announce that Patch 1.21 for Horizon Zero Dawn is now live. This patch fixes a number of progression issues, technical issues and crashes.

NOTE: This list may contain several spoilers!

If you encounter an issue while playing Horizon Zero Dawn, please try reloading a recent manual save, quicksave or autosave from the “Load” menu option. If the issue persists, please take screenshots of the area where it occurred and your location on the map, and forward them to us for further investigation.

GENERAL FIXES

  • Fixed an issue with the lure call, where some players could lure bandits from the other side of bandit camps, by reducing its range.
  • Fixed an issue where for some players ‘Strike from Above’ would not activate when coming from a zip line.
  • Fixed an issue with ‘Strike from Above’ where for some players Aloy would get stuck until the strike would be completed.
  • The ‘Inactive Quests’ toggle option now also filters the ‘New Quests’ icons from the map screen.
  • Fixed an issue with the interaction markers when set to ‘always off’ in the custom HUD menu. If some players positioned the camera through a bandit’s body the interaction markers would appear visible again.
  • Fixed an issue with the ‘Show HUD on touch’ menu option not resetting to the default value.
  • Fixed an issue where some players would not get a notification when they have leveled up if they had the ‘XP bar’ feature set to ‘always off’ in the custom HUD menu.
  • Fixed an issue where some players could suddenly be thrown from a Tallneck’s head and killed when it makes a very sharp turn during its path.

PHOTO MODE FIXES

  • Fixed an issue where changing poses after throwing a rock would cause conflict between animations where Aloy’s body would begin to bend, twist, and spin rapidly.
  • Fixed an issue with the ‘Look At’ toggle and Body Poses being available during hit reactions that Aloy triggers on herself such as falling and grenade damage.
  • Fixed an issue with Aloy twisting and bending if the player selects the ‘Look At’ toggle shortly after closing the Focus.
  • Fixed an issue where having previous Photo Mode settings active whilst in a new instance of Photo Mode with the Focus open would cause animation issues when pressing the triangle button.
  • Fixed an issue with the ‘Greetings’ option whilst on top of the Spire; it would state the player is located in the Estate.
  • Fixed an issue with the ‘Greetings’ option where the wrong weather effect would be mentioned while at Mother’s Crown.
    • Fixed an issue with the ‘Field of view’ option where it could cause several level of detail issues, especially when overlooking Meridian.

PROGRESSION FIXES

  • Fixed an issue in Hunters’ Blind where some players cannot progress past Hunters' Blind and follow Talanah because Aloy was bound to the sequence of the quest The City of the Sun.
  • Fixed an issue in Underequipped where some players finding that one of the objectives would become blank once completed if the player started the quest at Hunter's Gathering.
  • Fixed an issue in Maker’s End where some players were able to avoid a progression trigger, resulting in the player getting stuck on the ‘Go to Ted’s Office’ objective.
  • Fixed an issue in Deep Secrets of the Earth where some players were not able to obtain the datapoints in Sobeck’s office if the player wanted to pick them up after the explosion caused by Helis, as they have disappeared.

We’re pleased to announce that Patch 1.20 for Horizon Zero Dawn will be released next week. It's a big one, so to prepare you for the new content, here are the patch notes. In addition to fixing a number of progression issues, technical issues and crashes, this patch also introduces several new features, as outlined below.

FEATURE IMPROVEMENTS

  • Improved photo mode with new features
    • Added poses for Aloy
    • Added facial expressions for Aloy
    • Added 3 new filters
    • Added a “look at the camera” mode for Aloy
    • Added “greetings from” cards
    • Improved the camera controls
  • Added the option to hide Aloy inside settlements while in photo mode.
  • Added a sell stack option at merchants when double tapping the square icon.
  • Added filters and a legend to the in game map and the quest map.
  • Added several new custom HUD options.
  • Added an additional blue health bar on top of the player’s health bar whenever the Shield-Weaver Armor is equipped to indicate the amount of extra health points the armor is providing.
  • Added difficulty setting components to the Shield-Weaver Armor’s damage protection. On hard mode the armor received a 40% armor reduction; on very hard the armor received a 66.6% reduction.
  • Added the option to hide headgear for Aloy.
  • Added the option to categorize and sort your inventory.
  • Added categories in the crafting menu
    • Green check mark for categories that are finished
    • White icon for categories that have recipes that can be crafted
    • Grey icon for categories that have no recipes that can be crafted
  • Added the feature in the Sell menu at merchants, you can now press triangle to mark one or more items to sell items quicker.
  • Added gameplay time to the statistics menu.
  • Changed the timing of some tutorials that were repeatedly displayed, they are now less frequent.
  • Added the option to control the x and y axis sensitivity of the camera.
  • Added Spanish language support for North American copies of the game. Spanish subtitles can now be enabled, and Spanish audio is also now supported via a Spanish VO pack that can be downloaded from the North American PlayStation Store (in the week of May 8th).

PROGRESSION FIXES

  • Fixed an issue in The Point of the Spear where some players could safely drop into areas of the map during the Brave trials before speaking with Rost.
  • Fixed an issue in A Seeker at the Gates where certain users could trigger a save point in Mother’s Watch after becoming stuck behind the gate.
  • Fixed an issue in The Womb of the Mountain where completing a weapon tutorial during the Corruptor fight and reloading would block further progression for some users.
  • Fixed an Issue in The Field of the Fallen where some players found that Erend could get stuck in the floor after killing two Ravagers at the ambush site.
  • Fixed an issue in The Sun Shall Fall where some players could avoid the trigger before entering the Throne Room, resulting in the ear bleeder not spawning until the player reloads to an earlier save.
  • Fixed an issue in The Sun Shall Fall where certain players got stuck on the objective ‘Investigate the Area’ or ‘Go to the Solarium’ if the player avoids certain triggers.
  • Fixed an issue in Deep Secrets of the Earth where some players were unable to progress the quest after the former patch.
  • Fixed an issue in A Daughter’s Vengeance where a large plant-filled area lacked collision resulting in some players getting stuck in the environment.
  • Fixed an issue in Collateral where some players had machines intrude on the conversation with Olin.
  • Fixed an issue in Cauldron XI where some players were not able to progress due to missing a progression marker.

GENERAL FIXES

  • Fixed an issue where certain players would not be able to perform a Strike from Above while jumping.
  • Fixed an issue with Aloy’s body momentarily disappearing for some players when performing a Strike from Below on Cultists.
  • Fixed an issue where Aloy appeared to be out of focus for some players when the camera is brought close to her.
  • Fixed an issue in The Point of the Spear where for some players Aloy still has two spears in her inventory after the recent patch.
  • Fixed an issue in Mother's Heart where some players meant to confront Olin about his Focus during the speech, but were able to escape from the area resulting in the inability to return.
  • Fixed an issue in The City of the Sun where for certain players the tutorial message would still appear after completing the quest.
  • Fixed an issue in The Grave-Hoard where some players were able to leave the map and get stuck outside of the playable area.
  • Fixed an issue in Deep Secrets of the Earth where if some players surpass the trigger for the movie sequence, the main story quest will not progress upon entering the bunker.
  • Fixed an Issue in Deep Secrets of the Earth where enemies would not respawn for some players after Aloy dies during the “Kill the Eclipse” objective.
  • Fixed an issue in To Old Acquaintance where for some players Aloy would become stuck in a pose after interacting with the basket.
  • Fixed an issue where for some players an NPC would sit on a chair or bench while in combat, resulting in their bow floating in midair next to them.
  • Fixed an issue where certain players would get stuck underground while fast-traveling away from a Tallneck.
  • Fixed an issue where weapons would be disabled when some players fast-traveled whilst throwing a rock.
  • Fixed various animation errors that occurred when some players mounted damaged machines.
  • Fixed an issue where some player would not get the appropriate health notifications after playing for 3 hours and 30 minutes.
  • Fixed an issue in Cauldron Sigma where for some players, items dropped on the platform would not elevate up during the animation.
  • Fixed an issue where certain players who ride a mount from the Spire would be able to bypass the “mount can’t enter this location” message in Meridian Village.
  • Fixed an issue where for some players the Stormbird would become dysfunctional after its state was repeatedly changed between burning and stunned.
  • Fixed an issue where certain players who tried to enter Sunfall with a mount without the appropriate disguise would get kicked from the mount while the camera kept its focus on the mount.
  • Fixed several issues where for some players in certain occasions dropping a Treasure Box would leave the Treasure Boxes floating the air.
  • Fixed an issue where certain players were told to quit the main menu incorrectly when attempting to change text or speech language on first boot.
  • Fixed an Issue were for some players several blue lines would be visible in the lower part of the screen during a Conversation.
  • Fixed an issue where certain players’ corruption hit responses will continuously repeat if the player sprints while getting into an injured state.
  • Fixed an issue where some players could be suddenly thrown off a Tallneck and instantly killed if it makes a sharp turn.
  • Fixed an issue for certain players where any second or third rare/very rare handling mods attached to a weapon did not apply the expected stat increases.
  • Fixed an issue for some players where two or more similar uncommon or rare mods applied to both weapons and outfits consistently don’t apply their indicated improvements.
  • Fixed an issue where some players are still able to enter the World Map and Fast Travel right after an interaction has been triggered with triangle and when specific HUD messages are active.
  • Fixed an issue where certain players selects graphics mode “4k resolution” while on a 1080p TV, it would give a flicker in the shadows of the distance indicators.
  • Fixed an issue for some players where the interior map text overlapping the menu categories on the local map screen.
  • Fixed an issue for some players where the fan would speed up when opening the map on a PS4 Pro.
  • Fixed an issue for some players where the language would reset in the language selection menu.
  • Fixed an issue for certain players with the subtitle select in the launch menu.
  • Fixed an issue where for certain players if they would reload their save for a second time after agreeing to bring Olin to the Farmstead they will spawn at the last saved campfire.

Hello everyone – We’re happy to announce that we’re rolling out a new patch for Horizon Zero Dawn today. Patch 1.13 adds a feature that was requested by the community which enables you to play your own music while playing Horizon Zero Dawn and you’re now able to drop treasure chests with items that you do not want/need. This patch also fixes a number of progression issues and crashes that you reported. Please see the full patch details below, but beware of spoilers.

  • Fixed an issue after “The Proving” for certain players where Aloy would not retrieve her Focus after visiting Rost.
  • Fixed an issue where some players could permanently lose the Tearblaster in their playthrough after selling it at a merchant. The Tearblaster will now be available to purchase from certain merchants after completing 'Hunter's Blind'.
  • Fixed an issue where a pile of Ancient Debris appeared to be located underground for certain players.
  • Fixed an issue where some players were not able to pick up their loot when it was dropped in water.
  • Fixed an issue in the "Gatelands" Bandit Camp where some players could get stuck in a rock after performing a 'Strike from below'.
  • Fixed an issue when certain players would try to mount during Aloy's falling animation, causing Aloy to float in midair.
  • Fixed the issue where some players were able to gain +10,000 XP every time they cleared hunting trials with all Blazing Suns.

  • Fixed an issue that some players might encounter in "The Point of the Spear" where players would be given an extra Carja Bow and Spear if Aloy died before talking to Rost.
  • Fixed an issue in "The Point of the Spear" which some players might encounter where the Sawtooth would no longer be present when players updated their game to Patch 1.10 during the 'Kill the Sawtooth' objective.
  • Fixed an issue in "Revenge of the Nora" where some players were able to bypass natural progression by entering the Metal Ring by jumping over the roots.
  • Fixed an issue in "The Sun Shall Fall" where finishing a weapon tutorial during the Glinthawk encounter and reloading would result in some players not being able to enter the gates and continue the quest.
  • Fixed an issue in "The Grave-Hoard" where completing a weapon tutorial during the Deathbringer encounter would prevent the Deathbringer from respawning when some players would reload the game.
  • Fixed an issue in "To Curse the Darkness" where certain players could climb the roots around the entrance of the cave and bypass natural progression of the quest.
  • Fixed an issue in "Deep Secrets of the Earth" where a few players were unable to enter the bunker after fast traveling during the animation of Aloy opening the vent.
  • Fixed an issue in "The Mountain That Fell" where some players were able to leave the boundaries of the world.
  • Fixed an issue in "Robbing the Rich" where certain players were not able to complete the quest when talking to Ravan.
  • Fixed an issue in "Fatal Inheritance" where Daradi would be missing after fast traveling away from the quest area, which resulted in some players not being able to complete the 'Return to Daradi' objective.
  • Fixed an issue in "A Moment's Peace" where for some players the quest objective would be updated to "Return to Vilgund" after completing the quest, even though players did not meet Vilgund yet.
  • Fixed an issue in "Collateral" where a few players wouldn't be able to complete the 'Talk to Olin and Enasha' objective because Enasha would not wait in the Farm.
  • Fixed an issue in "Cause for Concern" where completing Bandit Camps in a specific order would result in a few players not being able to interact with Nil to complete the quest.
  • Fixed an issue in Cauldron Xi where certain players were able to bypass natural progression of the quest by escaping the core chamber during the 'Defend the Core' objective.
  • Fixed an issue in the weapon tutorial for the War Bow, where using the Lodge War Bow would not tally towards any of the War Bow tutorials.
General Fixes
  • Fixed an issue where some players would have the issue of wielded Heavy Weapons getting stuck on Aloy’s arm when interacting with the elevator in Meridian.
  • Fixed an issue where for a few players the awareness icons and tags would become invisible when the game saves while a Watcher uses the FlashStun attack on Aloy.
  • Fixed an issue where some players would spawn in the mountains when fast-traveling to the center of Sunfall.
  • Fixed an issue where after completing “Revenge of the Nora”, Varl would have a wrong dialogue.

  • Fixed an issue where the quest marker for “Underequipped” would disappear from the map when leaving the starting area of the quest.
  • Fixed an issue in “Death from the Skies” where the ‘Kill the Stormbird’ objective would not have a quest marker.
  • Fixed an issue where overridden bridges in Cauldron Rho would not be visible when some players were standing at a certain distance.
  • Fixed an issue where a few players were able to exploit Hunting Ground trials for resources.
  • Fixed an issue where for some the sound of destructible trees was not playing.
  • Fixed an issue with Pathfinder enabled for a custom waypoint when standing on the bridge of the Two Teeth Bandit Camp.

  • Fixed an issue in the main quest “The Point of the Spear” where some players could buy fire arrows from Karst rather than crafting them.
  • Fixed an issue in the main quest “The Proving” where players would be put back into the last checkpoint for the quest, making it impossible to continue the game.
  • Fixed an issue in “The War-Chief’s Trail” where fast- travelling away and back when Sona reached the cliff would sometimes prevent Sona’s A.I. from working correctly.
  • Fixed an issue in the sub quest “Revenge of the Nora” where some players could be blocked from progressing due to an invisible collision near the third bandit camp.
  • Fixed an issue in the quest “The Sun Shall Fall” where some players fast-travelling immediately after destroying the Sonic Device would be unable to progress upon returning to the gate.
  • Fixed an issue in the main quest “The Face of Extinction” where the Day 1 Patch did not offer a solution for the roll over problem of certain players who had side quests active while completing the quest.
  • Fixed an issue in the side quest “The Forgotten” where it was very difficult for some players to climb the trail to Olara.
  • Fixed an issue in the side quest “Robbing the Rich” where the objective “Return to Ravan” would not complete for some players after collecting the sword.
  • Fixed an issue in the side quest “Robbing the Rich” where no quest marker or breadcrumbing was displayed for some players on the objective "Follow the Tracks".
  • Fixed an issue in the side quest “Robbing the Rich” where Rokasha went missing for some players if they accepted another quest while following the blood trail and then reloaded their save data after speaking to Keadi.
  • Fixed an issue in the side quest “Robbing the Rich” where Nasan would be walking around in the courtyard and could not be interacted with by some players.
  • Fixed an issue in the side quest “Luck of the Hunt” where dropping boar skins after collecting all 4 would cause the boar skin objective to be unobtainable for some players.
  • Fixed an issue in the side quest “Healer’s Oath” where Patch 1.04 did not offer a retroactive solution for certain players who were unable to progress after dropping the Thunderjaw heart from the Special Items tab.
  • Fixed an issue in the side quest “Traitor's Bounty” where Vanasha would not appear on the objective "Talk to Vanasha" after finishing “The Face of Extinction” for some players.
  • Fixed an issue in the side quest “Hunter's Blind” where the "Show on map" option on the Quest screen was grayed out and no quest marker appeared on the map or compass during the objective "Follow Talanah" for some players.
  • Fixed an issue in the area “Cauldron Xi” where some players were able to escape the core chamber during the “Defend the core” objective.
  • Fixed an issue where some players could clear Corruption Zones from a distance without completing its associated quest and trophy.
  • Fixed several issues where some players could become stuck in bunkers and cauldrons after completing “The Face of Extinction”.
General Fixes
  • Fixed an issue in the main quest “The Point of the Spear” where the time of day dialogue option would erroneously unlock when reloading the game, after speaking to Rost at the beginning of the quest.
  • Fixed an issue in the main quest “A Seeker at the Gates” where the gates of the Embrace were wide open.

We’re pleased to announce that Patch 1.04 for Horizon Zero Dawn has been released today. This patch fixes a number of progression and technical issues, detailed below. Please be aware that this list may contain several spoilers.

FIXES

Main Quests
  • Fixed an issue in “The Proving” where one of the attackers would fall down the slope.
  • Fixed an issue in “The Womb of the Mountain” where the spear would not be in Aloy’s inventory if players opened a treasure box with a DLC item before retrieving Aloy’s weapons. Note: Players who have already encountered the issue will need to reload from a game saved prior to this quest.
  • Fixed an issue in “A Seeker at the Gates” where players would be able to enter the gates of Mother’s Watch when fast-traveling to this location.
  • Fixed an issue in “A Seeker at the Gates” where the quest objective would not update from “Go to the Carja Border Fort” to “Kill the corrupted machines”.
  • Fixed an issue in “A Seeker at the Gates” where players could not progress through the Carja Fort.
  • Fixed an issue in “The City of the Sun” where Erend wouldn’t spawn after the dialogue with him ended if players rushed past the civilians on the bridge.
  • Fixed an issue in “The Sun Shall Fall” where players couldn’t return to Dervahl if they fast-traveled during the objective “Talk to Dervahl”.
  • Fixed an issue in “The Grave Hoard” where skipping the conversation with Sylens at the end of the quest and immediately restarting would prevent “To Curse the Darkness” from starting.
  • Fixed an issue in “Deep Secrets of the Earth” where players couldn’t enter the bunker if they fast-traveled away from the objective after they had interacted with the bunker.
  • Fixed an issue in “The Terror of the Sun” where Aloy would respawn in an empty arena after being killed by the Behemoth. Note: Players who have already encountered the issue will need to go to Sunfall, at which point they will be teleported back into the arena to continue the quest.
Side Quests and Activities
  • Fixed an issue in “Hunter’s Blind” where the objective would not update after talking to Talanah.
  • Fixed an issue in “Hunter’s Blind” where players could kills the Glinthawks before the actual objective was triggered.
  • Fixed an issue in “The Foreign Lands” where players could already deliver the bow to Lakhir before being instructed to do so.
  • Fixed an issue in “Fatal Inheritance” where the objective would fail to update after disabling the lure device and speaking with Ranaman during the quest.
  • Fixed an issue in “Blood on Stone” where the Rockbreaker would not surface correctly if players fast-traveled from and to the quest area just before the start of the sequence.
  • Fixed an issue in “Death from the Skies” where the Stormbird objective would remain active after deactivating the lures and fast-traveling from and to the quest area.
  • Fixed an issue in “Redmaw” where Redmaw would be alive again if players left the quest area during the objective “Talk to Ahsis”.
  • Fixed an issue in “Redmaw” where the marker for the objective “Talk to Ahsis” would be invisible outside of the quest area.
Game Systems
  • Fixed an issue where exploration music would drop out after a long period of play.
  • Fixed an issue where Aloy could become ‘stuck’ in her sliding animation.
  • Fixed miscellaneous issues to improve the overall play experience.

We’re pleased to announce that Patch 1.03 for Horizon Zero Dawn has been released today. This patch fixes a number of progression issues and crashes.

Fixes

  • Fixed a crash that could occur during “The Heart of the Nora”, after getting killed by the corrupted Thunderjaw at All-Mother’s entrance.
  • Fixed an issue where the game would crash on “The Curse to Darkness” when left idle for a few minutes, after selecting continue from the Main Menu.
  • Fixed a crash that would occur during “Revenge of the Nora” when the player would be killed by the Bellowback.
  • Fixed a crash that could occur when the player was killed by the Behemoth during “The Terror of the Sun” quest.
  • Fixed an issue where the loading screen would hang after viewing the cutscene after the credits.
  • Fixed a progression issue during “Deep Secrets of the Earth” where Aloy could not re-enter the secret entrance after fast traveling out.
  • Fixed an issue where Aloy was able to mount machines with heavy weapons equipped.
  • Fixed an issue where bandits would spawn inside the mountain during Bandit Camp “Two Teeth”.
  • Fixed an issue where you could already scan the datapoint “Record of Redmaw 2” spoiling the quest.
  • Fixed an issue where tracks wouldn’t be highlighted unless het player was at a certain distance.
  • Fixed a crash with Hunting Grounds 1 when in combat with the Grazers.
  • Fixed an issue where the quest icon would display the incorrect quest when finishing “Gift from the Past” and transitioning to “The Point of the Spear”.
  • Fixed an issue where Vanasha wasn’t appearing to activate the “Traitor’s Bounty” quest.
  • Fixed an issue during “The City of the Sun” where Erend wouldn’t spawn correctly.
  • Fixed an issue where the Override icon wouldn’t always show on overridden machines.
  • Fixed an issue where players would accidentally skip the cinematic during “A Gift from the Past”.
  • Fixed an issue during “The War Chiefs Trail” where the player could not interact with Sona after fast traveling.
